How your child will be assessed
ASSESSMENT
There are no examinations in Foundation Phase. The following rating scale to be used is for all other phases:

| 1 | Not achieved | 0–29% |
- There are no formal assessments for Grade R.
- Assessment Tasks are marked and formally recorded by the teacher for progression and certification purposes. Teachers will record actual marks against the task by using a record sheet; and report percentages against the subject on the learners’ report cards.
- The year mark counts for 75% of the final mark and the end of year exam counts for 25%.
